The LIDO Festival, taking place on June 6, marks Massive Attack's first London festival show in over nine years. In partnership with Ecotricity, their performance will be entirely 100% battery powered, showcasing a commitment to reducing the carbon footprint of live music. The festival features a diverse lineup including Air, Yasiin Bey, and Tirzah. Massive Attack, in collaboration with visual artists and documentary filmmakers, aims to incorporate clean energy practices learned from previous events to set a precedent for future music festivals, emphasizing community and environmental responsibility.
History shows it's often the combination of art and science that overcomes the greatest challenges we face, so it's good to see LIDO take learnings from our ACT1.5 event last year and apply those technologies.
To present London's first ever 100% battery powered festival day with a dynamic range of artists is an optimum outcome for us.
