While walking through the nature reserve in Wicken Fen with my wife, niece and nephew, I saw movement out of the corner of my eye in a patch of rough grass. The muntjac was around 3 meters away, well camouflaged except for its head, which was caught in the bright, winter sunlight. We remained quiet and still while it fed.
It's always good to see the daffs arriving in February, trumpeting the imminent arrival of spring in Bransford.
