A train transporting 56 passengers collided with a tractor and trailer at a level crossing in Herefordshire, specifically between Ludlow and Leominster, shortly after 10:45 AM. According to the British Transport Police, the collision did not result in the train derailing. Six individuals sustained minor injuries and were treated by emergency personnel. Due to this incident, Transport for Wales has advised that train services in the affected areas could face cancellations or delays, causing disruptions. Fire and rescue teams were deployed, confirming no fire and minimal injuries reported.
Transport for Wales said on social media, "Due to a train hitting an obstruction on the line between Hereford and Shrewsbury, all lines are blocked."
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said, "Six people have been handed over to the care of the ambulance service with minor injuries."
