TOAD Bakery, which opened in Camberwell in 2022, has gained significant popularity, winning London’s Bakery of the Year at the National Bakery Awards 2025. The founders, Rebecca Spaven and Oliver Costello, have opened a second, larger bakery in Deptford, which will serve as a central bakehouse for both locations. The new menu will include specialist sourdough, unique pastries, and seasonal specials. The expansion allows for more opportunities for aspiring bakers to develop their skills and careers.
