This Popular Pub Group Is Turning Its Hand to an Italian Restaurant
"Initially we looked at the space as it was once a pub, but we fell in love with the glamour and unique design. The surreal interiors and character hidden behind the copper door inspired us to create a restaurant that felt both current and exciting, whilst retaining the allure of traditional hospitality."
"CeCe's, opening in Notting Hill, is promising old-school hospitality, elegant interiors (we're talking palms, soft fabrics and table lamps) and classic Italian dishes. There'll be plenty of Italian wines to go with it all, with a decent selection of bottles from Burgundy and Bordeaux, plus classics from across Europe and the USA."
Public House Group, known for successful London venues like The Hart, The Fat Badger, and The Hero, is expanding into Italian dining with CeCe's in Notting Hill. The restaurant features old-school hospitality, elegant interiors with palms, soft fabrics, and table lamps, and a classic Italian menu including dishes like aubergine parmigiana, bream carpaccio with caviar, fonduta agnolotti, chicken vignole, and bistecca alla Fiorentina. The wine selection emphasizes Italian bottles alongside Burgundy, Bordeaux, and European and American classics. Co-founder Olivier van Themsche explained the concept was inspired by the space's glamorous design and surreal interiors, aiming to create a restaurant that feels current and exciting while maintaining traditional hospitality values.
