Princes Risborough station restoring a lost railway link
Briefly

Next month, the Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway will unveil a long-anticipated independent railway line connecting Princes Risborough station and Chinnor. Originally opened in 1872, the line ceased passenger services in 1957, and freight by 1989. Though part of the railway reopened in 2018, trains had to share a siding with Network Rail, limiting service frequency. The new line will provide a consistent and independent heritage service, facilitating easier access for visitors, marking a significant milestone in the railway's restoration efforts.
The long-standing project to restore the railway link at Princes Risborough will officially open next month, bringing a heritage service to the public for the first time since 1957.
After years of ambition and planning, the Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway will inaugurate its independent track, ensuring a reliable heritage service from Princes Risborough station.
