Lucy Sparrow is presenting her first UK show in four years at the Lyndsey Ingram gallery. The new installation, The Bourdon Street Chippy, recreates a traditional British fish & chip shop entirely out of felt. This immersive exhibit includes a felt counter, seating, menus, shop signs, and a gallery of sewn portraits. The display features a diverse assortment of felt food items, including fish, various shapes of chips, and condiments. The exhibit runs for six weeks and is free to visit, inviting guests for a unique dining experience in art form.
Lucy Sparrow's latest installation transforms the Lyndsey Ingram gallery into a fully felted fish & chip shop, featuring hand-crafted menus, signage, and over 65,000 felt pieces.
The Bourdon Street Chippy exhibit offers a variety of felt fish, chips, and sauces, showcasing 15 different shapes in various colors, all meticulously created by hand.
