China Panda, a Chinese takeaway in Fulham, London, has been fined over £13,000 for repeatedly dumping fats, oils, and grease into the sewer system for several years. Thames Water, the responsible water company, ordered the establishment to install a grease trap in 2018 to manage waste properly. Blockages from the unmaintained trap led Thames Water to prosecute after years of warnings. They address 75,000 blockages annually, costing about £18 million, emphasizing the importance of proper waste disposal and its environmental impact.
