Kites fly over Hampstead Heath as part of 'festival for Palestine'
Briefly

The Eid Kite Festival, organized by pro-Palestine groups, took place on Parliament Hill, celebrating cultural unity and community support. Families from diverse backgrounds gathered to participate in activities like kite flying, football, and face painting, sharing a moment of joy post-Eid festivities. Attendee Andrew Feinstein highlighted the event's positive community spirit while acknowledging ongoing hardships faced by Palestinians and others. The event aimed to blend support for human rights with communal fun, fostering connections among friends and families in a supportive environment.
This is a gathering of wonderful people in our community, families who all feel similarly about Palestine. The community comes together to make food, bring cakes, to fly kites.
Remember while we're doing this that as we sit here in the glorious sunshine in the park, people in Palestine, in Iran, in Lebanon, are unfortunately having to deal with bombs, missiles and starvation.
