During a fire incident off Granby Row in Dublin, Eurospar driver Tomasz Zareba assisted in rescuing a man by positioning his lorry beneath a window, allowing the man to jump to safety. Zareba noticed smoke and flames while preparing for his next delivery and took quick action to help, pulling in his truck as close as possible. Emergency services arrived soon after, and three people were injured, needing treatment. Zareba remained on scene until firefighters arrived, demonstrating remarkable courage and quick thinking in a dangerous situation.
I just thought it would be much safer for him to jump on the lorry instead of the footpath, said Mr Zareba.
I saw the smoke coming from the window because my next delivery was just around the corner. I saw the flames coming up from the window and one guy was lying on the footpath.
