A new WWII museum at Trent Park in North London, under the direction of Giuseppe Albano MBE, is set to open in 2026. Trent Park House, historically significant like Bletchley Park, served as a command center for WWII 'Secret Listeners' whose intelligence gathering of German POWs was crucial for the Allied victory. The museum will showcase the restored mansion’s historic interiors and detailed accounts of the espionage operations, aiming to engage visitors with the rich tapestry of wartime history it represents, along with the social milieu of the 1930s led by Sir Philip Sassoon.
"Trent Park House has heard (and overheard) a lot of stories in its time. As someone who's always been passionate about historic houses and the tales they have to tell, I'm honoured to be taking on this role and look forward to opening Trent Park House as a museum and sharing its extraordinary history with everyone."
"It will reveal the extraordinary story of the 'Secret Listeners' - the intelligence operators hidden in the basement of Trent Park House - whose wartime eavesdropping of senior German prisoners of war led to some of the most important intelligence breakthroughs of WWII."
