
Fortnum and Mason is launching a private boating picnic on the Thames to celebrate the Henley Royal Regatta and Henley Festival. The two-hour experience is hosted aboard Christobel, a vintage boat styled in the store’s pale green theme with striped cushions by interior designer Colours of Arley. Guests receive a Fortnum’s signature fresh food picnic with a starter, mains, pudding, cheese platter, and drinks, shared among four, six, or eight people. Menu items include smoked trout with black garlic crème fraîche, the store’s signature scotch egg, and elderflower jelly with fresh berries. Red-coated servers serve picnic plates and drinks, and guests can take home the picnic bag. Champagne or sparkling rosé upgrades are available, with prices starting at £1,000 per charter for four guests.
