"The Ragged School, founded in 1877 by Dr Barnardo, became one of the largest free schools in London during a time of widespread poverty, before closing in 1908 following the expansion of state schooling. Since 1990, the space has been operating as a museum, where you can step inside a Victorian classroom and an old East End domestic kitchen."
"An old conference room at the museum is being redesigned as the takeaway space, opening on 1st October, which'll serve coffee and pastries with pantry products on the shelves. The existing cafe is being taken over by the Forno crew, and from 9th October, will be doing coffee, baked goods, brunch and lunch dishes. So if you find yourself down by Mile End park, you won't be too far from maritozzi, cornetti, sfogliatelle and more."
