A tragic incident occurred at Elthorne Park in Ealing, where a woman and her young child drowned. Police were alerted just before 4.30pm on Saturday. Both individuals were recovered from the water but died at the scene. An investigation is ongoing, but the deaths are not considered suspicious. Authorities are working to identify the next of kin. Det Supt Pete Thackray expressed condolences to the victims' loved ones and acknowledged the efforts of first responders and the public.
