The Australian-born activist and whistleblower, who has been held in a London prison since 2019, is set to appear in a courtroom Tuesday, where the High Court will listen to arguments over whether Assange can ask an appeals court to block his extradition.
Assange, 52, previously spent seven years in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, claiming political asylum to avoid arrest after jumping bail when Sweden requested his extradition over sexual assault allegations.
