More than 100 tower blocks across London are built with Large Panel System (LPS) concrete panels, posing potential risks of defects, collapse or fire.
The dangers of LPS buildings were highlighted after the tragic Ronan Point collapse in 1968, which spurred government advisories on their safety.
Data shows 134 residential LPS tower blocks owned by local authorities, 30 of which still have gas systems, raising safety concerns.
Westminster City Council is proactively addressing safety risks by planning to remove gas supplies from most of its LPS blocks by 2025.
