The vehicle failed to stop for a marked police car in Walthamtow's Palmerston Road shortly after 11am before colliding with two other vehicles.
Six people were treated by medics in total, two of whom were taken to hospital and the other four discharged at the scene.
The driver of the car being pursued was rushed to hospital as a precaution; his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The road remains closed both ways between Mansfield Road and Melbourne Road while police investigate, affecting the W15 bus route.
