Vintage 1938 Tube train runs trips after vandalism
Briefly

The London Transport Museum (LTM) will be running a Summer Special event to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the extension of the Metropolitan line out to Uxbridge from Harrow-on-the-Hill station with trips on the 1938 burgundy Tube train.
On arrival, guests will receive a souvenir booklet and meet a costumed actor playing the pioneer in station architecture, Charles Holden, who designed both Acton Town and Uxbridge stations.
London Transport Museum expressed gratitude to volunteers, curators, and London Underground for their efforts in restoring the vandalized train to its 'beautiful' state.
