Vandalised park toilets 'in disrepair' could be transformed into new cafe
Briefly

The public toilets at Little Ilford Park, closed for years due to vandalism and disrepair, are proposed to be transformed into the Little Ilford Cafeteria, featuring upgraded facilities including a unisex toilet and a disabled loo with baby changing amenities.
The renovation plan includes keeping the existing building while updating its structure, adding timber cladding to the external walls, and fitting new windows and doors, along with outdoor seating under a retractable canopy.
The project, supported by community discussions, has received funding from the Levelling Up Fund, aiming for completion by March 31, 2025, to enhance the public space.
Once approved, the new facilities will operate during daylight hours and will be managed by a third party, aiming to provide accessible amenities to visitors in the park.
