The collision forced the gates open, striking and seriously injuring a 28-year-old woman and 24-year-old man. Jackson continued driving, mounting a flower bed before the vehicle became airborne and struck Aalia Mahomed, a 20-year-old King's College London physics and philosophy student sitting on a bench. Mahomed died at the scene. The incident left all three victims with severe injuries.
