Council representative Krupa Sheth noted that budget constraints mean only the worst areas could be repaired, stating that the council has to prioritize funds for the most urgent repairs due to a large backlog.
Residents claim that the pavements are a significant risk for people with mobility issues, with many areas described as "riddled with cracks, potholes, and broken tiles," forcing pedestrians onto the road, thus increasing risks.
