Transport for London (TfL) has announced that the ULEZ scrappage scheme will close for new applications on 7 September, ahead of a successful implementation across London.
Over £186 million has been allocated to roughly 54,000 applicants in the outer London area, alongside £61 million for central and inner London, signaling overwhelming support.
Compliance levels in London have reached over 96%, with a significant 53% drop in non-compliant vehicles since the ULEZ expansion in January 2023.
As the scheme winds down, remaining funds are proposed to be redirected to further initiatives in alignment with the Mayor's Transport Strategy, ensuring continued support.
