Ulez expansion led to significant drop in air pollutants in London, report finds
Briefly

Levels of nitrogen oxides (NOx) from cars across London were 13% lower, while NOx from vans was 7% lower than projected if Ulez remained in inner London only.
Particulate pollution in outer London decreased by approximately 22%, equivalent to removing 200,000 cars from the road for a year, due to Ulez expansion.
The expansion of Ulez to Greater London led to a halving of non-compliant vehicles entering the zone, dropping to less than 4%, with about 90,000 fewer detected daily.
Sadiq Khan stated that Ulez is performing better than anticipated, driving pollution levels down, removing old vehicles, and enhancing air quality in London.
