In response to complaints, Wahed told the ASA that the content of their adverts was 'thought-provoking' and not offensive, justifying the imagery of burning banknotes as a metaphor for inflation commonly seen in popular culture.
TfL also stated its advertising partners review all campaigns before they are approved, asserting that the ads complied with TfL's ad policy and the CAP Code.
