Matthew Rumble, 39, of Toronto, died in hospital after being stabbed during an altercation at Jane subway station. He is the city's 43rd homicide victim.
The altercation between the victim and suspect started on a TTC bus arriving at the station and escalated into a fatal stabbing during a physical fight.
Police are seeking a Black male suspect and a white female person of interest who fled after the stabbing. Descriptions provided for identification.
