Tickets Alert: See the City of London's bridge archive documents
Briefly

Next month is a rare opportunity to see historic documents about London’s bridges, displayed for the first time, reflecting the City Bridge Foundation's 900-year legacy.
One highlight is the foundation's original Royal Charter from 1282, issued by King Edward I, granting the City of London properties and rents for the support of the bridges.
The exhibition includes never-before-seen items like the Bridgemasters' Annual Accounts from 1484-1509, contract drawings for Southwark Bridge’s 1912 reconstruction, and a 1968 educational film about Tower Bridge.
The documents will be on view at The London Archives on October 11, 2024, across three sessions, promising a unique chance to glimpse significant historical artifacts.
