Brits are drinking so much Guinness that Diageo has announced limits on British pubs and restaurants over the Christmas period to ensure enough for everyone.
The Old Ivy House in Clerkenwell has introduced a Guinness ration card, limiting customers to one pint after buying two other drinks.
Diageo partly blames the viral 'splitting the G' trend for the Guinness shortage, as its popularity has skyrocketed thanks to a recent game.
Patrick Fitzsimons expressed concern that his pub has gone from 35 to 50 kegs a week to just 12, insufficient for demand, leading to stockpiling.
