This London airport is tripling its number of passengers
Briefly

London Southend Airport in Essex aims to triple its passenger numbers to 10 million, competing with major airports like Heathrow and Gatwick by investing in technology and adding new travel routes.
CAG Holdings, LLC, the new owners of Southend Airport, plan to provide significant investment to improve the airport's facilities and services to make it a key player in the London market.
'This airport is the only airport in the London market that has capacity. The large airports in London are running out of capacity; they don't have slots,' said Amit Rikhy, Chief Executive of CAG Holdings, explaining the rationale behind investing in Southend Airport.
Southend Airport has already begun expansion efforts, with easyJet introducing six new routes including flights to Turkey, Spain, and north Africa, to accommodate the expected surge in passenger numbers.
