The 1821 Royal Opera Arcade, London's first shopping arcade, designed by John Nash, will be transformed into a new shopping hotspot, part of a larger £430 million renovation by Crown Estate.
Crown Estate's renovation includes iconic landmarks like New Zealand House and Piccadilly properties, creating 250,000 sq ft space valued over £400 million for offices, leisure, and retail.
Simon Harding-Roots of the Crown Estate highlights these plans will provide employment spaces in West End and complement public space improvements with Westminster City Council.
