The ticket prices have been revealed for the British Museum's massive Bayeaux Tapestry exhibition this summer
The Bayeux Tapestry will return to the UK at the British Museum for the first time since it was made nearly a millennium ago. The exhibition runs from Thursday September 10 until July 11, 2027, bringing the historic embroidered cloth to London. The tapestry depicts the Battle of Hastings and the Norman Conquest of England in 1066, showing scenes of 11th century life and warfare. The museum will add digital elements to create an “experience,” along with additional items such as silver pennies from the Chew Valley Hoard. The museum will also be transformed into a “medieval forest.” Ticket demand is expected to be high, with peak adult entry costing £33 and off-peak adult entry costing £27.
"So that means that the top ticket prices will smash past the £30 barrier, making them pricier than most London exhibitions. Ticket prices for the British Museum's Bayeux Tapestry exhibition: The top ticket price will be £33, for adult entry at peak times; Off-peak adult entry will be £27; Under-16s can enter free, when accompanied by an adult; ArtFund National Art Pass holders can enter for £16.50."
