Despite the challenges, King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust led with 40.5 percent of handovers exceeding 30 minutes, while Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust reported the lowest delay rate at 22.1 percent across their handovers.
The latest NHS England data highlights that 42.2 percent of ambulance patients nationally waited more than 30 minutes in the past week, indicating a critical pressure point for hospitals amid the winter surge.
All South London trusts show a range of performance in ambulance handover delays, but notably, they are all currently performing better than the national average.
