Temperatures in London to soar this weekend as warm weather set to sweep the capital
"a very wet and windy morning"
"By the time we get into the late part of the day on Thursday, by that stage, the winds should be clearing away and Thursday will just be a slow improvement day."
"It's all change after that, by the weekend it will be feeling much, much milder wit"
Temperatures in London will climb into the teens, around 14–15C, on Saturday and Sunday following a week of heavy downpours. A yellow weather warning for heavy rain affects Wales and southern England, with 10–20mm widely, up to 30mm near the south coast and as much as 50mm on Dartmoor, Devon, risking flooding and travel disruption on Wednesday. London will see rain and sleet Thursday morning, clearing by afternoon with highs near 6C. Cloud and winds increase on Friday with showers continuing into a milder weekend. A separate yellow warning for snow in the West Midlands and Wales could cause cancellations and stranded vehicles. Northern Ireland can expect rain, hill snow and gusts of 50–55mph until Wednesday evening.
