Sutton: Firefighters rescue four people, including child, from blaze at south London office block

On Friday evening, around 7.30pm, four fire engines and 25 firefighters were dispatched to Sutton Court Road due to a fire that had erupted. It was reported that approximately 16 square metres of rubbish was ablaze outside the entrance, affecting the external fascia of the building. Fortunately, firefighters quickly responded to the situation and were able to control the fire by 8.30pm, preventing further damage.
Firefighters bravely rescued four individuals, including a child, who were trapped on the flat roof of a nearby building. They performed the rescue using a nine-metre ladder, displaying commendable professionalism and quick response time given the circumstances. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported, but the bravery of the team ensured the safety of those who had become endangered.
