The Dagenham & Redbridge Football Club organized a bucket collection to raise funds for victims of the devastating fire at the Spectrum Building in Chadwell Heath.
The fire, which broke out on August 26, resulted in the evacuation of over 80 individuals and saw 225 firefighters responding, battling the blaze for over eight hours.
The London Fire Brigade reported that the Spectrum Building had 'a number of fire safety issues' which are now under investigation alongside the Metropolitan Police.
A spokesperson for Dagenham & Redbridge expressed their sadness over the incident, stating that all money raised would go to those in need of immediate assistance.
