The Baytree Shopping Centre in Brentwood will undergo a three-phase redevelopment aimed at revitalizing the area, opening a new cinema, and improving public spaces.
The first phase will enhance street furniture and signage by March 2025, alongside a high-quality public realm scheme to create a strong gateway to the centre.
Councillor Gareth Barrett emphasized that the introduction of a cinema is crucial for the project's success and is central to the town's revitalization plans.
The final phase will provide a comprehensive review of existing structures and introduce a diverse mix of retail and leisure options to boost the town's economy.
