With 247,867 violence against the person offenses recorded in London last year, the Mayor noted that while violence was rising locally, the investment in youth services is aimed at reversing this trend.
The expansion of the VRU funding to help children in Pupil Referral Units across all 32 boroughs illustrates a broader strategy to prevent violence by supporting vulnerable young individuals through mentorship.
