Revealed: the worst London Underground line and tube station for dust
Briefly

A recent study by Transport for London found that the Victoria line, despite being relatively new, now hosts the highest levels of inhalable dust, far surpassing the Northern line.
The heavy dust accumulation on the Victoria line is attributed to deep stations and insufficient ventilation, making it not only dusty but also much hotter compared to other lines, leading to uncomfortable conditions for passengers.
While most dust in the Underground comes from metal particles due to train operations, the concentration of these particles in the Victoria line's carriages remains considerably below hazardous levels, indicating mainly nuisance rather than danger for commuters.
Seven Sisters has been identified as the dustiest station on the Victoria line, with Vauxhall also reporting notably high levels of respirable dust, making conditions challenging for regular commuters.
