Residents of The Combe in Munster Square have been allowed to return home after safety assessments declared the high-rise building structurally sound despite the discovery of a crack.
The council reassured that the crack was located on an internal, non-load bearing wall, meaning it posed no threat to the overall stability of the structure.
Following thorough inspections by specialist engineers, all but three households were cleared to return, as those residents lived in apartments directly affected by the identified crack.
Camden Council provided immediate support for displaced residents, with many offered temporary accommodation and assistance from the British Red Cross during the evacuation.
