T he countdown to Christmas has started in Bond Street with the illumination of the shopping district's 93,000 LED lights.The Crown Jewels have been faithfully recreated above the heads of shoppers both in celebration of the late Queen's 70 years on the throne and of London's jewellery quarter.The designs, which took more than 12 months to create, have replaced the former peacock feather lights, which were in situ for the past eight years in Bond Street.
