The RideLondon event will be paused in 2025 to allow for a strategic review and the development of a new concept to broaden engagement.
Hugh Brasher, chief executive of London Marathon Events, stated: 'No event in 2025 means that we can focus on a full strategic review of RideLondon.'
Will Norman, London's walking and cycling commissioner, mentioned the cancellation as 'disappointing news' but is dedicated to collaborating with partners to revive the event.
Scheduled to take place across Essex, London, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire, RideLondon is aiming to enhance participation across various age groups and skills.
