Police have shared a new image of a man they are searching for in connection with two assaults in Covent Garden, leaving an elderly victim with a bleed on the brain.
Det Const Greg Atkins stated, 'This incident took place in and around Covent Garden on a busy evening. We are making a renewed appeal for anybody with information to come forward.'
Moments after an off-duty police officer was attacked, a second man in his 70s was assaulted, suffering serious injuries that required fifteen stitches.
Both victims were not known to each other, indicating the attacks were random with no motive behind them, and police are pursuing leads.
