Photos show scaffolding left dangling over Bethnal Green street after strong winds

Emergency services, including police and fire crews, were called to the scene at 4.47pm on Sunday (November 25) after the scaffolding was left hanging over the footpath.
We have been made aware that some scaffolding on Bethnal Green Road has been blown by strong winds away from the wall. Police and London Fire Brigade colleagues are on scene and there are some road closures.
Firefighters were mobilised to an incident on Bethnal Green Road in Bethnal Green. Scaffolding had come away from a building and was hanging precariously over a footpath.
Firefighters worked to make the scene safe and the scaffolding was removed. The Brigade was called at 4.47pm and the incident was over for firefighters by 10.03pm.
