Presenter Jermaine Jenas has been sacked by the BBC over allegations of inappropriate workplace behavior, including issues related to digital communications such as texts.
A BBC spokesperson confirmed the termination of Jenas' contract, stating that he is no longer part of the presenting lineup after an investigation into workplace conduct.
The sacking of Jenas comes amid difficult times for the BBC, which has also faced scandals involving Huw Edwards and accusations of abuse on the set of Strictly Come Dancing.
Recently awarded for his contributions to women's football, Jenas had been tipped to replace Gary Lineker on Match of the Day before the allegations surfaced.
