Donna Conniff, a mother-of-six, was jailed for two years after being caught on video inciting violence by throwing bricks at police during a protest in Hartlepool.
Judge Francis Laird KC noted Conniff’s actions were 'truly disgraceful,' especially in a residential area where children were present during the violent unrest.
Her defense highlighted that Conniff stumbled upon the protest by chance, but the judge emphasized her persistent participation in a large-scale act of public disorder.
The recent protests followed tragic events in which three young girls were stabbed to death at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class, escalating tensions in the community.
