Hundreds of Border Force officers at Heathrow Airport will strike from August 31 to September 3, reflecting ongoing disputes over enforced work changes including inflexible rotas.
PCS reported that around 160 staff have left, with 82 percent being told they can't remain in their roles, pressured to change work hours and practices.
General secretary Fran Heathcote emphasized the heavy toll of these changes, asserting that members feel forced to choose between job responsibilities and caring duties.
While acknowledging the potential travel disruptions caused by the strike, Heathcote urged management to address member concerns to avert the planned action.
