More than 1,000 jobs could be lost as Tapi to buy Carpetright - London Business News | Londonlovesbusiness.com
Briefly

Tapi is to buy Carpetright in a rescue deal which could see over 200 stores close with the loss of more than 1,000 jobs.
The deal will save over 300 jobs at Carpetright, but the head office in Purfleet, Essex will close along with the majority of the business.
Nestware chief executive Kevin Barrett expressed regret over the limited nature of the acquisition, stating, 'The deal is limited to a select number of stores rather than the business as a whole and will sadly impact a large number of colleagues and staff.'
Barrett further mentioned their efforts to revive Carpetright, saying, 'We have tried everything to turn Carpetright around and I'm truly sorry that we were unable to save more jobs.'
