More London Overground services introduced from this May
"We are delighted to have this agreement with Olympia that enables us to start these services from 18 May. It will allow us to introduce more peak services on the Clapham Junction branch of the Mildmay line, increasing capacity and making it easier for customers to attend events at the newly transformed venue."
"This five-year deal is a significant investment that will help TfL deliver the best possible service to our customers and Londoners using public transport."
"The new services will make more use of Platform 17 for the shuttle service up to Shepherd's Bush, as there is not enough space at Platforms 1 and 2 to accommodate the extra services."
Starting May 2026, the London Overground will add 16 peak-time services per weekday between Clapham Junction and Shepherd's Bush. This upgrade will enhance customer capacity by 20% in the morning and 33% in the afternoon peak. The increase is funded by London Olympia property developers through a five-year agreement. The new services will utilize Platform 17 at Clapham Junction due to space constraints at the usual platforms. This initiative is part of a broader agreement that includes additional bus services and upgrades to the Olympia area.
