Mitchell Hanley, 36, confessed to violent disorder and assaulting a police officer during a far-right protest in Whitehall, highlighting escalating tensions in demonstrations.
Prosecutor Alexander Agbamu noted that the protest, part of a larger far-right response, was triggered by misinformation about a murder suspect's religion and immigration status.
The violence at the demonstration, which involved around 700 attendees, escalated with bottle-throwing incidents, leading to police intervention and the arrest of Hanley.
