Detectives have identified suspects close to the former Harrods owner, now believed to have committed crimes spanning nearly 40 years, with 90 new victims reporting incidents.
Cmdr Clayman stated the probe will investigate roles individuals played in facilitating Al Fayed's offenses, aiming to understand how they might have safeguarded victims from abuse.
Since a public appeal last month, 150 individuals have contacted Scotland Yard with information regarding Al Fayed, indicating the extent of his offenses and the concerns of the public.
Al Fayed's criminal actions, identified between 1977 and 2014, occurred across various prominent locations, revealing a long-term pattern of predation that had evaded accountability for years.
