A Metropolitan Police officer, Liam Williams, resigned after found guilty of misconduct for inappropriate behavior towards female colleagues and the public, including making inappropriate comments and acting inappropriately by shouting with the intention of shocking or frightening members of the public.
The misconduct hearing revealed that Williams breached the Met's Standards of Professional Behaviour by engaging in Discreditable Conduct, Equality and Diversity issues, and lacking Authority, Respect, and Courtesy in his actions.
Chief Superintendent Steve Lemon emphasized the importance of high standards and trust in the community, stating that former PC Williams' behavior was well below the expected standards and would have led to dismissal if he had not resigned.
